In advance Preparation for Tropical Storm Harvey, County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr. has ordered a voluntary evacuation of RV’s (High Profile Vehicles) to RV guests at its County Parks (Isla Blanca Park, Andy Bowie Park and Adolph Thomae, Jr. Park in Arroyo City). This is strictly voluntary given the forecast by the National Weather Service of wind gusts upwards of 50 to 60 miles per hour.

As previously suggested, please be vigilant and proactive as we track this disturbance by making sure that your RV mobile units are secured property and that any items that could become projectiles during high wind events such as tables, chairs, umbrellas, tents, canopies, awnings, camping equipment, etc. are properly stored and secured.

At this time we are not requiring guests to evacuate, but want to make sure all precautionary measures are taken in case the current storm track holds true. The county will keep everyone informed on any new storm updates.

I thank you for your immediate attention as we keep an eye on the tropics and keep you updated with any further developments. Updates will be posted on Parks Facebook Page, Emergency Management Facebook Page, County Website and Parks Website.
